Noticed a fair bit of small white plastic balls along the shore in Pancake Bay this weekend.

Later that same day, I headed 80km north to Sand River to fish, and again noticed a larger concentration of these small white plastic balls.

That is an almost 100km distance with the same white plastic pellet.

These small white pellets are found every 5 feet in debris fields or settlement spots along the coastline.

This is horrible and I really think the public should be aware of this and keep their eyes open for more and other locations along Superior.

I reported this to Pancake Bay camp office and just called the Ministry of Environment to let them know.

I collected samples from both locations and am very disturbed about this.

The big thing in the news as of lately is the banning of micro beads in our soaps since they are finding an abundance of them in the oceans and the known risks of plastics to our fish and environment.

Now this is a little closer to home!
