SooToday received the following letter of thank you to a kind stranger from a loyal reader, Sharon, who was having a bit of a difficult time.
My children and I were in line at the Tim Horton’s drive thru on Trunk Road Wednesday morning.
I placed an order for all three of us and pulled up to pay.
It had already been a hectic morning getting everyone out the door for various day camps and work.
This week I had also passed the one year mark of losing my mom.
I live approximately 1200 miles away from my family so being away from family had been very heavy on my heart.
As I pulled up to the window I was informed by the cashier that my order had been paid in full.
My daughter believes she was able to remember that it was a Black Ford pickup – but not 100% sure of that piece.
I just want to express my appreciation to this person – whoever and wherever you are.
Please know how much I appreciate what you have done.
It really brought a ray of light into my heart.
The welcome sign close to the Civic Centre states “Sault Ste Marie Algoma’s Friendliest City”.
I believe that this random act of kindness proves how true this is.
Again, many thanks from not only me, but from my 8-year-old and 14-year-old.
Whoever you are – have a wonderful day.
From the family in the Grey Toyota Highlander.
