Pizza Hut to open on Great Northern Road (update)

It looks like there will be a new addition to the Sault Ste. Marie pizzascape.

Pizza Hut, part of the Yum! Brands family, will be opening in Sault Ste. Marie this September, said a company representitive by email Friday.

Claire Petch, who is a spokesperson for the company, said the smaller storefront is a format the company has been using for many of its recent openings.

Similar-sized locations are already in the Marathon and Thunder Bay markets.

"Over time we have seen more and more of our customers prefer to enjoy their favourite Pizza Hut products at home and even at work. Our online ordering, carry out and delivery services are all geared towards making that experience as easy and enjoyable as possible," said Petch.

The location is 153 Great Northern Road, nestled between M&M Meats and a Weight Watchers storefront.

Other restaurants in the Yum! Brands stable, Taco Bell and KFC, have multiple locations within Sault Ste. Marie and this joins a Pizza Hut location across the river in Sault, Michigan.

"We are so proud of all of our locations and believe that customers will choose whichever one is most convenient for them, which is why we love being able to offer multiple locations," said Petch.
