It has been more than a week since the Sault Ste. Marie region has received any rainfall.
That dry trend continues this weekend along with some impressive heat before it is done.
Friday will see mainly cloudy skies but a southerly breeze will keep daytime highs in the mid-20s.
There is the risk of a scattered shower after sunset tonight but clouds begin to break up overnight.
For Saturday, we will see increasing sunshine through the day.
Winds will swing around to the north and this will keep temperatures in the low 20s.
The heat arrives for Sunday as warmer air moves back in from the south.
Plenty of sunshine will help push temperatures into the upper 20s with some inland locations possibly nearing 30C.
The warm weather continues for the start of next week.
