UNION JACK BREWING COMPANY
The 1812 British Redcoat reenactors will be on hand to mark the event.
Additionally, Low N’Slow will be providing sliders by donation with the proceeds going to the Canadian Diabetes Association.
Tours of the facilities will be running every 20 minutes between 2-5 p.m.
The beer has been available for a month now at several local establishments including Low N’ Slow, Embers, Fresco and Laird Raceway.
More restaurants will be added over the next few weeks including the Gateway Grill, JC Sakura and several others.
For now, the beer is available as growlers (1/2 gallon bottles) only, at the retail store on-site.
“Our intention is to start packaging in 473ml cans by the fall,” said Jordan Jack, president of the company. “We’re trying to narrow down which recipe we will start canning based on the feedback we’ve received. The problem is the feedback has been overwhelmingly positive for all styles making the decision difficult.”
Currently, the retail store is open Thursday 5-9 p.m., Friday 2-10 p.m., Saturday 2-10 p.m. and Sunday noon-6 p.m.
The brewery’s retail store will be also open on future holidays from 12 p.m.-6 p.m.
