ELLIOT LAKE – On June 10, 2015, officers with the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) East Algoma (Elliot Lake) Detachment investigated a report of a theft at a residence on Westhill Road in Elliot Lake..

Investigation revealed that two gnomes were taken and were last seen in the yard at approximately 1 p.m. on June 9, 2015. 

At approximately 4 p.m. that day, the victim noticed the gnomes were missing. 

The missing items were family heirlooms which were made by the victim’s father 40 years ago. 

They are described as having red hats, bright green jackets, dark green pants, grey beards and in a standing position. 

The victim states the colours are very faded.

Any person with information regarding the person(s) responsible for this theft should immediately contact the Ontario Provincial Police at 1-888-310-1122 or their nearest police authority.
