Madison Zuppa and the City Hallraiser$ Relay for Life team is the 2015 recipient of the Canadian Cancer Society – Ontario Division’s Celebrating Impact in Community Fundraising Award.

“This award acknowledges true dedication to funding the most promising research and providing support services to people whose lives are touched by cancer,” says Rodney Buzdygan, Manager of the Canadian Cancer Society – Algoma office.

The award was presented to Madison and the City’s Relay team during a Jean Day and Cup Cake fundraiser held May 27 at the Civic Centre.

City employees showed their support with a donation of $1,100 towards the Sault Ste. Marie Relay for Life event.

This year’s Relay for Life event will be held June 19 from 7 p.m. – 1 a.m. at the Rocky DiPietro Track located at Queen Elizabeth Park.
