On June 6, 2015, Mill Market celebrates its One Year Anniversary.

To mark the occasion the Market will be celebrating with live music, an outdoor garage sale, and the featured event, the Market's First Annual Butter Tart Competition. 

The Butter Tart Competition will take place between 11am - 1pm. It is OPEN to Mill Market vendors and the general public to apply.

The competition will be judged by a panel of local foodies and celebrity judges.

The first prize winner will be awarded an opportunity to become a Mill Market Vendor for a day, and three honourable mentions will be given to the runners up.

The theme of the competition is "authentic butter tarts with a twist."

We're looking for the most creative, innovative and mouth watering creations bakers can come up with. 

Registration forms and participating guidelines can be downloaded on the Mill Market website.

Over the past year Mill Market has grown to be one of Sault Ste. Marie's most favourite weekend attractions.

The number of vendors has doubled over the year.

The farmers market is home to more than 40 local farmers and agricultural producers who grow, raise and catch everything from fresh vegetables, fruits, and herbs to Lake Trout, White Fish, pasture raised beef, pork and eggs, to Alpaca wool finely woven and weaved. 

In addition to expanding and nurturing the growth of the local food landscape, Mill Market has grown to be a happening artisan community where talented local artists can showcase their handy crafts, jewellery, candles and soaps. 

Mill Market is located at 35 Canal Drive Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario.

It's open to the public three days a week, year round.

Summer hours are Wednesdays 2 p.m. - 7 p.m.; Saturdays 8 a.m. - 2 p.m. and Sundays 11 a.m. - 3 p.m.
