Workweek Weather Outlook: Winter Returns

The run of warm weather is about to come to an end.

It’s going to take some significant rain to wash away the warm air but you can count on cold air filling in behind Monday’s damp weather.

It could take the better part of a week before temperatures climb back up to spring-like normal.

Monday will bring rain for most of the day.

The heaviest rain is likely from the late morning into the mid-afternoon.

Winds will then swing around from the east to the west and mark the beginning of a change towards cooler weather.

Rain tapers off in the evening as temperatures slowly slide down towards freezing.  The chance of an evening flurry is possible.

Tuesday will be cloud, damp and cool with temperatures only a few degrees above freezing with periods of drizzle and showers.

Wednesday brings even colder air into the region with a chance of scattered flurries, temperatures below freezing and windchills even colder.

Thursday will remain cold and then in Friday temperature begin a slow climb and reach back above the freezing mark.
