A Facebook post advises customers that Chicago Cookshop gift certificates will be honoured at Harp Bar and Grill.

A check of the most recent health inspections available on Algoma Public Health's website show what appear to be a handful of minor infractions.

Earlier story:

Chicago Cookshop announced via its Facebook page today that it is "closed until further notice."

The McNabb Street steakhouse opened in late November in the building that previously housed Amici's Ristorante and, long before that, Aurora's.

The reason for the closure is unclear.

In a post to Facebook, the eatery says the move wasn't "by choice" or due to "financial trouble."

Nothing had been posted on the restaurant itself as of early this afternoon.

SooToday has learned that 45 employees are affected.
