Just because you're an adult doesn't mean you have to act like one.

April 1 is right around the corner, so here are some easy, kid friendly ways to have a laugh with your little ones.

1. Stretch scotch tape back and forth across your child's bedroom doorway — at chest height! — for an early morning attack.

2. Got a new teenage driver in the house? Leave a "parking ticket" on their windshield.

3. Add a For Sale sign in the front yard before the kids get home from school.

4. Swap the kids into each others bed when they're sleeping.

5. The night before, pour their cereal and milk into a bowl and freeze it. Serve as usual.

6. Change the language on your kids’ smart devices or Facebook profiles to a different one. Make sure you know how to change it back though!

7. Put a raisin inside a napkin. Pretend you just whacked a spider, pick it up with the napkin and then eat the raisin. Gross!

8. Before your child wakes up to use the bathroom, start a line out the door with their stuffed animals. They’ll think it’s hilarious that they’ll have to wait their turn! Put a bear on the toilet for an added giggle.

9. Smudge green and black Sharpie on the outside of a clear sandwich bag for a mouldy looking lunch. Sneak in some plastic bugs and beatles while you're at it too!

10. Before they leave for school, say "April Fool's!" and smile slyly. Then, just walk away.
