The following City facilities will be closed during the Easter Holiday period – Good Friday, April 3 through Easter Monday, April 6:

• Cemetery office
• Children’s Centres (Jessie Irving, Maycourt, Best Start – Holy Family site)
• Civic Centre
• Essar Centre administration office and Box Office
• Public Works and Transportation administrative office. For 24-hour emergency service requests call 705-759-5201
• Seniors’ Centres (Drop-In and Steelton)
• Social Services: Ontario Works, Social Housing, Community Child Care, and Accessibility office
• Transit office

Ermatinger-Clergue National Historic Site – Closed Good Friday, April 3, Easter Sunday, April 5 and Easter Monday, April 6. Open 9:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m., Saturday, April 4 for Easter egg hunt.

Essar Centre Ice Surface – Closed Good Friday, April 3 and Easter Sunday, April 5. Open for scheduled events Saturday, April 4 and Easter Monday, April 6.

John Rhodes Arenas – Arena #1 is open 1-3 p.m. for public skating Good Friday, April 3 and 1-3 p.m. for public skating Easter Sunday, April 5. Arena #2 is closed April 3 and 5. Both arenas are open Saturday, April 4 and Easter Monday, April 6.

McMeeken Centre – Closed Good Friday, April 3 and Easter Sunday, April 5. Open Saturday, April 4 and Easter Monday, April 6 for scheduled events.

Northern Community Centre – Closed Good Friday, April 3. Open April 4, 5 and 6 for scheduled events.

John Rhodes Community Centre Pool – Open Good Friday, April 3 and Easter Sunday, April 5 for Parent/Child/Lane Swim 11:15 a.m. – 1 p.m., and Public Swim 1 – 3 p.m. Open Saturday, April 4 and Monday, April 6 for regular swim programs and lessons.

Public Library

The Centennial library and Churchill and Korah branches are closed Good Friday, April 3, Easter Sunday, April 5 and Easter Monday, April 6.

All libraries are open Saturday, April 4 as follows: Centennial 9 a.m. - 5 p.m.; Churchill 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.; and Korah branch 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. with story/craft time 10:30 – 11:30 a.m.

Refuse & Recycling Collection

No collection Good Friday, April 3 – Friday’s collection will be picked up on Saturday, April 4. No collection Monday, April 6.

Collection for the week of April 6-10 will be one day late. Refuse and recyclables must be placed curbside by 7:30 a.m. to ensure pickup.

The landfill site will be closed Good Friday, April 3 and Easter Monday, April 6.

Transit Services

No regular transit and Parabus service Good Friday, April 3. Regular weekend service for transit and Parabus Saturday, April 4 and Easter Sunday, April 5.

Regular weekday service resumes Easter Monday, April 6. For transit information call 705-759-5438.
