This Second World War soldier in regulation dress and his military-issue 1945 Harley Davidson WLC motorcycle found their way yesterday to the Sault Ste. Marie Museum.

In all, five bikes were rolled into the museum's main gallery space this week, in preparation for Revving Up For Summer: a special display of vintage motorcycles that will open February 10.

Approximately nine other bikes will be added in the week to come.

The exhibit will run until April 25.

Visitors will be able to view a 1940 Indian, 1943 and 1945 Harleys, a pre-1948 Whizzer, a 1972 Kawasaki Triple, and a 1976 Triumph, as well as displays of riding gear, manuals, posters, ads, motorcycle engines and parts.

The museum is located at 690 Queen Street East.
