On February 7, Foremost Pet Foods in collaboration with Petcurean present a festive Winter Wonderland Pawty Dog Pulling Contest for the community of Sault Ste. Marie from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. at Mill Market.

This spectacular Bon Soo event has been proudly sponsored by Foremost Pet Foods for the last thirty years.

In celebration of the local business’ thirtieth anniversary, Foremost plans to make this year’s 2015 Dog Pull unlike any other and will be offering a variety of prizes and giveaways!

Free sample bags of Petcurean’s featured GO! and NOW FRESH products will be handed out, one per family, at the event.

Take the opportunity to learn more about Petcurean, a Canadian company that creates nutritionally balanced recipes for dogs and cats using only premium-quality and natural ingredients.

GO! Provides solutions for your dog or cat’s unique dietary needs, while NOW FRESH is the only dry food to use 100 percent fresh meat and omega oils.

Representatives will be onsite to provide information on GO! and NOW FRESH as well as to answer any pet nutrition questions.

Those interested in registering for the Dog Pulling Contest can do so between 11
a.m. and noon.

The dog-pulling contest will commence at noon and all breeds of small, medium, and large sized dogs are invited to participate.

The weight of the dog will determine the category in which they will participate.

Each dog will be required to perform a maximum of two pulls in duration of sixty seconds per pull.

Pulls are a distance of thirty feet and successful dogs will be awarded first, second, and third ranking.

Top performers will receive a trophy in recognition as well as a bag of Petcurean dog food along with a Certificate of Achievement.

A total of nine prizes will be awarded to nine tough dogs!

Two Petcurean branded gift baskets, valued at $150 each, are also to be raffled and will contain a six pound bag of Petcurean dog food, Barns Dale bones, Benny’s Bully treats, and Hear Doggy toys.

No purchase is necessary and interested parties can visit either Foremost Pet Foods location at 68 Second Line West or 149 Trunk Road from now until February 7 in order to fill out a ballot.

Winners will be announced during the Dog Pulling Contest!
