Provenzano officially named to PUC board

After being nominated by city council in December, Sault Ste. Marie Mayor Christian Provenzano was officially appointed to the Sault PUC Board of Directors at Monday's city council meeting.

After being nominated by city council in December, Sault Ste. Marie Mayor Christian Provenzano was officially appointed to the Sault PUC Board of Directors at Monday's city council meeting.

Part of Provenzano's 2014 municipal election campaign consisted of his desire to be appointed to the PUC board if elected mayor.

Provenzano has said, as a board member, he will help monitor the PUC's water quality improvement plan, currently underway.

Council also formally approved, as part of its first regular meeting of the new year, a long list of appointments to a variety of boards and committees.
