SAULT STE. MARIE POLICE SERVICE
Over the weekend officers from the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service and the Ontario Provincial Police Highway Safety Division joined together to keep our roads safe.
Officers checked 537 vehicles, arrested two adults for over .08, one adult for possession of controlled drugs x 2, issued a three day suspension, charged one driver with driving with no licence and also issued three other traffic related offences.
The public is reminded that the Festive RIDE program will continue throughout the rest of the month.
Please don’t drink and drive.
If you do, be prepared to face the consequences. Remember if you are charged with over .08, your licence is immediately suspended for 90 days and the vehicle you are operating will be impounded for 7 days.
