SooToday received the following announcement and photo regarding the new Grand Chief for Mushkegowuk Council.

A swearing in Ceremony has been held for Grand Chief of Mushkegowuk Council.   

The Ceremony took place on November 26, 2014 at 9 a.m. in Sault Ste. Marie prior to the Mushkegowuk Chief’s Meeting.   

Lawrence Martin was elected as Grand Chief on November 14, 2014, by the Mushkegowuk communities.  

Congratulations to Lawrence!
