Earlier this summer we wrote a letter because our garden plants and soil had been stolen before we were able to even spread the soil from the bags or plant transplant the plants.

Some wonderful businesses and people from our community stepped forward to help us out replacing our supplies.

We now want to share with all of you just what a successful endeavor this has been.

Not only did the herbs and vegetables grow huge.

Not only we were able to use our own plants to do so many recipes, like sautéed radish with radish greens, stuffed zucchini parmesan, pickled beans, and that’s just so far – still have 4 varieties of potato and tomato!

It was fun to watch our garden grow each week, and see  the reaction as club members would return to see the changes.

It was exciting to see just what could be done in an industrial parking lot.

Now it is the end of October and we are still harvesting tomatoes (saved from the frost from a roof overhang), and a brand new crop of radish, as well as using the many herbs we planted.
