On October 18 2014 at approximately 5:30 a.m. patrol officers responded at a house fire located at 545 Connaught Avenue in the west end of the city. 
 
After investigation Sault Ste. Marie Fire Services determined that the cause of the fire was arson. 
 
Sault Ste. Marie Police Services requests the assistance of the public. 
 
Anyone noticing any suspicious individuals in this area during the early morning hours are asked to contact Investigation Services (705) 949-6300.
