Youth charged with threatening death and more

On September 15, 2014 at approximately 11:50 p.m., city police responded to a call in the area of Henry Street.

A young person, age 17, was caught by a home owner going through his vehicle.

Two other neighbours from down the street heard the yelling and came to assist the home owner.

It is alleged that the home owner was threatened by the young person when a knife was taken out and then the suspect went towards the two neighbours threatening to kill them.

The accused fled on his bicycle but was located by police a short distance away.

A description given by witness of the accused led to the arrest of the young person.

The accused was also found to be in possession of a Tom Tom GPS that was taken from another vehicle in the same area of the city.

The accused is charged with trespass by night, threatening death X3, assault with a weapon X3, theft under $5,000 and possession of property obtained by crime.

The accused will appear in bail court on September 16, 2014 at 10 a.m.
