NEWS RELEASE

CITY OF SAULT STE MARIE

***************************
Mayor Debbie Amaroso invites the community to have their say in the Mayor’s Youth Advisory Council (MYAC).

Two public information and consultation sessions will be held at the Civic Centre during the month of September.

Session One: September 18 – Biggings Room, Civic Centre – 4 to 5:30 p.m.

Session Two: September 25 – Thompson Room, Civic Centre – 4 to 5:30 p.m.

The information and consultation sessions will allow members of the community to give their input on the structure of the Committee, as well as review the current guidelines in place for Committees of City Council.

The MYAC will be appointed by City Council in December 2014.

This Committee will follow the same guidelines and policies as other Committees of Council.

“I strongly believe the Mayor’s Youth Advisory Council will be an opportunity for youth to make real, positive change in the Sault community, and I encourage youth and other residents to attend one of the information and consultation sessions,” says Mayor Amaroso.
