On September 7, 2014, Sault Ste. Marie Fire Services responded to a 911 call of a boat on fire in the 900 block of Trunk Road.
Upon arrival, Fire crews discovered a fully involved 24ft boat that was being worked on by the owner.
Crews utilized a portable extinguisher and foam lines to douse the fire.
Although there was no damage to nearby exposures, damage to the boat was extensive.
The owner escaped without injury.
The fire is not considered suspicious.
