The Sault Ste. Marie Chamber of Commerce is calling for nominations for its 2014 Business and ATHENA® Awards.

This is an opportunity to nominate a business that provides excellent customer service, is on the forefront of environmental practices, runs superb marketing campaigns, or fits the criteria outlined in any of the award categories.

Recipients of the Chamber of Commerce business awards will be honoured and announced in a video presentation at the Sault Ste. Marie Chamber of Commerce 125th Annual General Meeting and 2014 Business Awards Dinner sponsored by Bell in October.

Business awards open for nomination include:

The Business Development Award, the Customer Service Award, the Young Entrepreneur /Business of the Year Award, the Marketing Award, the Entrepreneur /Business of the Year Award, the Safe Work /Sound Business Award, the Environment Award, the Employer of Choice Award and the Diversity Award.

Additionally, nominations are also being accepted for both the Paul Dalseg Community Achievement Award and the Skipper Manzzutti Award for Business Achievement.

Both of these awards recognize individuals who have made substantial and significant business and personal contributions to the community.

Sponsored by Sault College of Applied Arts and Technology, The ATHENA® Award will be presented to an individual recognized for their professional excellence, for providing valuable service to the community and for actively assisting women in attainment of their professional goals and leadership skills.

Nominations are also being accepted for this recognition.

Nominations will be accepted until Tuesday, July 29, 2014 at 5 p.m.
