So many things to do at Rotaryfest

Have you spotted some new additions to the Sault landscape on your way down Bay Street?

Tents for ROTARYFEST, The Sault’s Summer Festival! are being set up in Clergue Park and Homeniuk Rides Inc. has begun assembling midway rides in the North Civic Centre Green Space.

Workers and volunteers will be busy all week creating an environment full of fun and excitement for the enjoyment of the Sault community.

Mark your calendar: July 17 – 19 and don’t miss a minute of all of this year’s ROTARYFEST activities:

  • Ribfest – A crowd favourite from last year is BACK – and the battle to have the best ribs is on! Four ribbers, only one people’s choice champion. Taste the ribs, and then cast your vote!
  • Miracle Mile Colour Blast, presented by Community First Credit Union – Walk, run or roll down Queen St, and get blasted with colour! A great way to keep active, have fun, and make a difference in our community.
  • Stage 1 featuring Michael White and the White in conjunction with the Arts Council of Sault Ste. Marie & District sponsored by OLG and partially funded by the Department of Canadian Heritage – This Led Zeppelin tribute band has been performing since 1979, and Jimmy Page himself commented in 1985 that “Michael does it best”!
  • The 93rd Community Day Parade, presented by Brookfield - This year’s Parade theme is Happiness is…! Fred Gard, a local WW2 veteran, will be taking the honourable place of parade marshal. Join in on the excitement and pageantry as local organizations and businesses come together to put on a great show, full of colour and excitement!
  • ‘Take Your Pick’ Car Draw – The winner will have their choice of two different packages of two cars each or a ton of cash. This year the choices are a Chevrolet Impala LTZ AND GMC Sierra 1500 4x4 or Ford Explorer Sport 4WD AND Lincoln MKC AWD or $75,000 cash. Be sure to pick up your tickets soon as we expect to sell out quickly.
  • Wheels on the Water Car Show presented by Fountain Tire and NAPA Auto Parts, family fun in the Tenaris PlayZone, Station Mall Putt for Prizes, Rotary RC Racers, face painting, pony rides, the water floor, the Rotary food court, and more!
