Four water main breaks leave eastenders without water

Monday, July 14, 2014   by: Staff

SAULT STE. MARIE, ON - (July 14, 2014) - PUC crews are currently responding to four reported water main breaks in the city’s east end.

PUC customers are advised that fluctuating water pressure and discoloured water have been reported in the east end of the city as a result of these water main breaks.

Main breaks have occurred at:

  • The corner of Royal York Boulevard and Queen Street East
  • River Road (in the area of Parkshore Drive)
  • Chicora Crescent
  • Bowker Street

PUC crews have been dispatched and are working to repair the mains as quickly as possible.

More information will be released to the media as it becomes available.

During the repair process, traffic flow will be restricted on the affected streets while crews conduct repairs.

This traffic restriction is necessary to ensure the safety of repair crews as well as the travelling public.

We apologize for this inconvenience to our customers, and wish to thank everyone for their understanding and cooperation.
