OPP make two impaired arrests in Blind River

BLIND RIVER, ON – On June 7, 2014 at 8 p.m. police received a call from a Ministry of Natural Resources (MNR) Conservation Officer advising of an impaired boater on the North Channel of Lake Huron near Blind River. 

Officers from the East Algoma detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) met the Conservation Officer at the dock in the Township of the Northshore where the male was arrested and taken into custody.

As a result of the investigation 43-year-old William DUNBAR of Blind River has been charged with impaired operation of a vessel and operating vessel with over 80 mgs.

He is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Blind River on August 7, 2014.

BLIND RIVER, ON – On June 20, 2014 at 4:30 p.m. officers from the East Algoma detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) in Blind River received a complaint of a possible impaired driver on Causley Street in Blind River. 

Officers located and stopped the vehicle on Woodward Avenue. As a result of their investigation 60 year old Conrad BOBIWASH of Blind River was arrested and is charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle, being over 80 mgs and failing to comply with conditions of an undertaking. 

He is schedule to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Blind River on August 5, 2014.
