You don't need to give your name to collect your money

Monday, June 23, 2014   by: Staff

For 29 years Crime Stoppers has helped solve crime, put criminals in jail and give victims and their families piece of mind.

Let’s take a moment to learn how Crime Stoppers works.

When you call in your tip you receive a code number.

If your tip leads to an arrest, your code number is written on an envelope and your envelope is filled with reward money in cash.

When a suspect is arrested you call Crime Stoppers and you will be provided with a location and date to pick up your tip.

You go to the location on that date or any date thereafter and you will be given the envelope.

You never give your name, you never sign anything and no one knows who you are, it’s that simple.

If you have any information that could help solve a crime in Sault Ste. Marie and Algoma District call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.

Type a tip through our website or text the keyword SSM along with your tip to 274637.
