Monday, June 09, 2014   by: Michael Purvis

Students at Holy Cross Catholic School were treated to author Sigmund Brouwer’s Rock & Roll Literacy show on Friday.

Brouwer, a Red Deer, Alberta native who has penned more than 40 novels, met with Grade 6 students following the presentation for a writer’s workshop.

Brouwer is the author of Devil’s Pass from the Seven Series and a number of other children’s books.

The author toured several Huron-Superior Catholic District School Board schools on Friday accompanied by his wife, Christian singer and songwriter Cindy Morgan, who held a songwriting workshop for Grade 7 students at Holy Cross.
