If you're going to defame someone so obviously in a public forum, at least have the sense to post some supporting proof.
steelworker 6/3/2014 11:38:49 AM Report

Does he hang around with the Chief of Police?

A good opportunity to make comments face to face.

To put my original comment in context, it was directed to an inappropriate comment from another reader which has since been removed.

Welcome to Northern Ontario where the majority of voters are to busy looking for a hand out instead of a hand up or god forbid doing something without government assistance. Where these same voters are clueless to the ramifications of a crippling government debt load. Where the left preaches about turning the other cheek while making accusations in such a gutless manner, hiding behind an online user name. I'm going to go out on a limb here and predict that Rod probably won't win this election but at least he is not afraid to stand up in public for what he believes in.

I'm still looking for a Fremlin sign for my front yard.

Why world that be deleted sootoday? It's fact. You published it on your site even!

Agreed Old dog.

I appreciate what you are trying to say but, you are grossly misinformed! Take Ontario Works for instance. Recipients receive approx. 600.00 per month yet supervisors earn how much per year?? (Your tax dollars). Social Housing. Someone on O.W. or odsp pays approx. $139.00 (single and without kids). Anyone working to support themselves pays 30% of their income plus an additional fee for water, puc etc. Old age pensioners pay more in social housing than almost anyone else. Housing employees...that`s another story. Some of them have made the Sunshine club while their tenants have to fight to get repairs done on their units! So, please do not categorize all low income people! Some are genuinely struggling due to no fault of their own! Not all are looking for handouts as you put it! Take a look at the bigger picture and find out exactly how and where the tax dollars are truly being spent! That`s if you are in fact a tax payer.

Steelworker:

Call 705-575-9833 and someone will get a sign to you.

Thank you.
olddog 6/3/2014 3:15:24 PM Report

Gurpy, I am a tax payer and have seen the big picture, obviously more of it than you have. No where in my previous statement did I refer to those that actually need assistance. if we continue to follow the left these are the very people who will be hurt the worst.

Sorry!
I've seen this guy on the Shaw Tv debate with the other canidates. His responses to the questions were simplistic at best and repetitive. He didn't appear to be confident with his answers or have a true working knowledge of the issues.
My vote will be for David 'O'.
steelworker 6/3/2014 5:07:04 PM Report

Rod should have brought a manure spreader to the debate. Put the other two candidates in it and turn the switch to High. The amount of b.s. produced could be sold to help pay down Ontarios' debt.

you can ask but you wont get a honest answer its all about money with these people

steelworker

Given the content of your posts on this and various other sites I have to accept that you are an expert on spreading B.S.
steelworker 6/4/2014 4:04:48 PM Report

You supply it and I will spread it. Just keep talking.
