Theft at Walmart

54-year-old Jordon Cooper, of Patrick Street, was arrested and charged with theft at Walmart today.

It is alleged that on May 29, 2014 at approximately 11:40 hours the accused, Jordan Cooper, concealed several items including an iPhone charger and clothing on her person and left the store without making any attempt to pay for the items.

Value of stolen goods is $201.83.

"Welfare" and stealing should not be linked in such an assumptive way. Rude as hell about people's lives you know nothing about. People who require social assistance have enough to worry about without you casting them all out together as thieves. Notice I used the word PEOPLE.

It could be that some people on welfare choose to steal, but it would be wrong to assume that all people (or even most) on welfare are thieves.

It's sad that so many people make this false assumption.
