Police were busing boating on the cottage lakes patrolling for open beer coolers and no life jackets in someone's boat to deal with it.

But seriously, only two break ins that not bad.

These are just the ones that are reported.
Remember that there are people who don't call to report anymore.
I stopped calling when my shed gets broken into and stopped calling the 3rd time my car was broken into. It ends up being more of a hassle. They take a couple of details, say someone will call me back, but no one does so I call back and go through that again. I don't make an insurance claim anyway and since the police don't seem too concerned, why bother calling now.

Some bastard in my backyard last night--around midnite--Wellington/Pine Area--scared him away with bright lights--but definitely was LURKING/SCOPING--scurried off to train tracks!
Jeeeezus that pisses me off!

@justsomeguy

I Hear ya! Was a hassle when my car got broken into in my driveway prior Xmas eve 2 yrs ago! (presents etc..)
I still check pawn shops today for a gold item I had but it's probably long gone (CASH FOR GOLD places) or in a bag of jewelry at some scumbag drug dealers house!
MYPOINT 5/28/2014 11:34:48 AM Report

I have had a couple of break -ins over the past 3 - 4 years and I went through the same sort of crap ( we will call you back later for more information etc etc etc ). I now have multiple motion lights hidden in areas all over my yard and these lights are turned on by movement of any kind. In fact, one time a cat turned these motion lights on and lit up my entire back yard lol.

The only problem I can see with these types of events is when or if these culprits are caught, our courts will send them away with a tiny weenie slap on the wrist if they promise to never do it again ( at least until they are out of sight of the courthouse ) OR they need money for some reason and refuse to find some work somewhere - whichever comes first.

As always, this is only my opinion :)
