The homeowners were home and the would-be intruder was scared off.

A clothing description was given to the police by the residents.

A short time later, a male matching the description was located in the St. Georges Avenue area just east of St. Basils School.

Kick my door in and see what you get you little punk ... luckily it wasn't my house, because believe me ... you'd be walking around with a cracked skull and crushed up face after my baseball bat was finished with you.

Imagine what we could accomplish if we had a community policing program like in other places.
It's unfortunate certain officials in town are opposed to the idea.

Not his first kick at the can....B&E with knife in 2011 as well.

You sound so tough roxxyroller, until you have to use a bat...classic keyboard warrior!!!

If He is going to act like this when he is in the city, maybe he should just stay on the Reserve. These are the natives who give other Natives bad names.

B Boy... correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought that was the point of the new Gore Street storefront?

The Police cannot be on every street preventing every criminal act. That this punk was caught within minutes suggests to me our cops are doing their job, and doing it well.
Sam C 5/26/2014 10:58:31 AM Report

roxxy... are you willing to do the time for aggravated assault with a weapon?

You may only use such force as is reasonable to protect yourself and your property. Using a bat to give and intruder "a cracked skull and crushed up face" might go a wee bit further than the law provides.
Powerwise 5/26/2014 11:00:31 AM Report

Gladue considerations.
roxxyroller 5/26/2014 12:26:50 PM Report

One has to do what they gotta do to protect their loved ones and property. If they choose to come into my home and invade my privacy without permission, then suffer the consequences. If they can get through my two big dogs first, then they are welcome to come in further and meet my bat. Self defence ... And I am not going to run and cower.
Entitledtomyopinion 5/26/2014 12:29:18 PM Report

I dont know about you guys, but I have 2 small children in the house and if someone were breaking in I don't know WHY they would be. I would think I would go into dad autopilot mode and protect my kids. Whatever happens would happen. Of course I hope it's nothing too severe.
Slim Shady 5/26/2014 12:40:27 PM Report

Criminal meet Mr. 1911A1 Combat. Reintroductions are unnecessary.

When an armed intruder breaks into your house you have the right to defend yourself and your family with enough force to stop the threat. Why use a baseball bat and have to justify exactly how many hits constitute "enough" force? On shot to the cranium is "enough" force to stop the threat. Sorry I don't play baseball, but I do shoot IPSC.

Let the courts try an convict a homeowner in his PJs shooting a knife carrying criminal with a lengthy record. I'll take that chance over landing up in a morgue.

@Entitledtomyopinion and Slim Shady: 150% in agreeance with you both!
Powerwise 5/26/2014 2:03:28 PM Report

when someone breaks into your house, with our nanny state laws, the smartest thing you could possibly do would be to crack that f***er's skull and dissolve the body in a tub full of acid

I'm fairly sure is not from Garden but residing there you're right he's giving Garden River a bad name! A address doesn't make him a band member! He just might be from the Soo!
