CITY OF SAULT STE MARIE

The opening of the following City of Sault Ste. Marie outdoor soccer fields at sports complexes will be delayed until Sunday, June 1, 2014 due to inclement weather and wet field conditions:

Strathclair Sports Complex (soccer fields)

Elliot Park (soccer fields)

Queen Elizabeth Park (soccer fields)

The general public is asked to refrain from using these fields for all activities including team practices.

Unfortunately when they built the fields at strathclair, the drainage was really poorly designed. Those fields are wet even when it hasn't rained in a while.

justsomeguy why didn't you design the drainage for the soccer fields, with the winter and the spring rain the Sault had its a wonder they are not destroyed, if you think this doesn't happen anywhere else in the world, it does.
