A story of survival (3 photos)

Monday, May 19, 2014   by: SooToday.com Staff

SooToday.com received the following message this morning from loyal reader David Breckenridge who wanted us to pass on a story of survival.

*************************
While doing yard work today, our neighbour alerted us to the fact that a small bird had bounced off of his living room window.

It appeared stunned, but nothing more.

My wife set it up on his window sill, and it wasn't too long after that it flew away.

I believe it's a male yellow warbler.

He is a beautiful creature, and we were happy that he survived his mishap.

We have had the same kind of experience as well with this little bird sometime back after holding it in my hand it flew to my husbands chest and stayed there for some time ,long enough for our neighbor to cross the road and walk up our driveway ,and we stood talking then it hopped up to his shoulder before departing ,we have many stories of birds and animals .

Thank you for sharing, what a nice story for a change. It says a lot about a person when they are kind to animals. And when you get a chance to be close to one of Gods creatures that you wouldn't normally it's a blessing. I swear I felt my blood pressure going down while reading this, thanks

Rob Ford must have been giving those poor birds some of his booze.
