Ontario PCs plan to reduce personal income taxesSaturday, May 17, 2014 by: SooToday.com Staff
PC CANDIDATE ROD FREMLIN
“Million Jobs Plan will reduce personal income taxes once the budget is balanced. This will create 47,000 new jobs”
Today Rod Fremlin, PC Candidate for Sault Ste. Marie said the Ontario PCs will take the urgent decisive action needed on a plan to create jobs and grow the economy by balancing the budget.
Like most citizens, paying down debt is not easy, but it’s a good feeling when you do it.
This is true whether you are talking about a credit card or a mortgage, and it is also true for the provincial debt.
“Getting to a balanced budget will be a big job. Taxpayers across the province are already doing their part. Now the government must do its part as well”, said Fremlin.
Liberal and NDP promises are irresponsible because they only lead to one thing: higher taxes.
Kathleen Wynne’s needs more of your money to pay for bad decisions like cancelled gas plants, subsidies for multinational corporations and huge payoffs to government unions.
“As part of our Million Jobs Plan, the Ontario PCs will reduce personal income taxes after balancing the budget in 2016”, Fremlin said. “A reduction in personal income taxes will boost household spending, generate increased economic activity and encourage investment.”
Only the Ontario PCs will take the urgent decisive action needed on a plan to create jobs and grow the economy by balancing the budget.

Frio...that makes too much sense...and they might have to eliminate some pretty hefty perks .Elected members are there for their PARTY first...not those that elected them. David O is a good example of that. How in good conscience could he support all that his party did wrong and never speak up. His silence proves he supported all those mistakes the liberals made. David O put his job and his party and basically said those that voted him in can go to hell.

Election time promises are being made and if they are kept is another thing. I went to Orazetti Office for assistance with an issue and he said he couldn't help me, it was a provincial matter. Taxes being taken care of is good, but what about health care. Example the cuts in patient care at home for those that can't get out or get rides to get the care. One thing is funny is the office staff at the Community Care Assess Centre keep thier jobs. But Nurses working in the Comminuty Loose their's. So tell me what is wrong with this picture.

The Provincial Government is broke thanks to the Liberals, who have constantly and recklessly handed out funds to anything and everything with little thought of the financial consequences.

The Liberals need to be punished for all the waste of taxpayers money. They added billions to the deficit and put Ontario in a precarious financial position. The green Energy program is a huge waste of our money, and yet electricity bills have doubled.
As far as David O getting lots of money for Sault Ste. Marie, there is no doubt he has worked hard and funded lots of projects. But it has all been on borrowed money, which is unsustainable.
I don't agree with Mr. Hudak putting thousands out of work either. Not sure why people don't want to give the NDP a chance. There is no use dragging up memories of Harris or Rae from 20+ years ago. Let's take a chance on NDP and have a fresh start in this province.

The conservative plat form is one of the worst I have ever seeing. How can you not vote liberal on this election!! They keep saying they want to help lower income tax and he mentions people paying off there debt. How exactly will this happen when you lay off 100000 people in ontario. And they get re-hired working part time for 15 bucks an hour. In my eyes that would mean more debt. Longer mortgages. Starvation and maybe even death from the conservatives stupid plan. The middle class are the ones he is talking about. Government wages that pay for houses, cars and groceries. Kids sports I could go on. Without this what happens to the rest. EXACTLY. Give me an answer RODDDD. Conservatives have pissed me off on this one. No effort at all.

Tone44 asked how can I not vote Liberal in this election....
* The Ontario Health Premium Tax.
* The Liberal De-listing of OHIP Covered Necessary Health Services.
* The Liberal eHealth Scandal - That cost Ontario's Working Families a Billion dollars in wasted tax dollars (and unprecedented delays in the computerization of Ontario's health records)
* The Liberal Slush Fund Scandal - Where Dalton McGuinty's Government gave $32 Million to Liberal friendly groups (in the form of Government Grants) over a 2 years span with no formal application process and no accountability for how the money would be spent. Just, "here you go, vote Liberal!"
* The Liberal Municipal Property Assessment Corp. (MPAC) Scandal - Where on the Liberal Government's watch, Ontario Families had their homes either significantly undervalued or significantly overvalued by the MPAC, resulting in either a huge loss of their home's value, or them being significantly overcharged for property taxes
* The Liberal Tire Tax - Yet another blatant lie by the Liberals where they said they would not implement a tire tax, and then went right ahead and implemented one.
* The Liberal Nanticoke Coal Power Plant Shutdown Scandal
* The Liberal Auto Insurance Scandal - Where Liberals promised to reduce Auto Insurance rates by 10% during the 2003 election, instead the exact opposite has occured - increasing Auto Insurance rates in Ontario to skyrocketing heights
* The Harmonized Sales Tax (HST) - Where the Liberals imposed yet another tax, this time a massive tax that was applied on almost everything including: Home Heating Costs, Gasoline, Natural Gas, Electricity, Tobacco, Quit Smoking Aids, Newspaper/Magazine subscriptions, Fast Food (over $4), New Homes (over $400,000), Vitamins, Used Vehicles, Internet Access, Airfare, Bus fare, Taxi Fares, Haircuts, Hotels, Legal Services, Gym Memberships, Accountants, Real Estate Commissions, Lawn Care and Landscaping, Dry Cleaning, Snow Removal, Campsites, Audio Books, Home Renovations, Massage Therapy, Green fees for golf, Live Theatre, Hockey Rink fees and Hall rentals, Funeral Services, Fitness Trainer, Esthetician Services, Hunting and Fishing Licenses. This is how Ontario Liberals help Ontario's Working Families, by increasing taxes on everything they depend on to survive.
* The Smart Meters. Nothing more needs to be said about smart meters.
* The one billion and counting gas plant scandal.
* The green energy subsidy program which has contributed to skyrocketing hydro cost. Skyrocketing hydro cost continue to drive manufacturing and developing business from this province, in simple terms, JOBS!
* The erasing of computer hard drive and shredding of evidence as McGuinty ran from office.
Need I say more about why I will never vote for Liberals....

How many hospitals, roads and other infrastructure did all those SCAMS flush down the toilet? I won't get into the debt burden we will be passing on to future generations, with nothing to show for it.

Longlake... Years back we always voted NDP, but the thing that holds them back from getting in is that folk think that they won't get enough votes so they vote for the lesser of the other evils. Most NDP folk think this way but if they would just all ban together and vote NDP, well the party just might get in. By voting for another party just so the other " evil" won't get in makes it hard for the NDP to get their share of the votes. We should just not be afraid anymore and just vote in the NDP if that's who you really want in... Hope this makes sense to you, is hard to explain it... It might take awhile to clean up the other partys mess, but in the long run it will be worth it.... Sooo if one really wants the NDP to get in, then VOTE for them and not be afraid that your vote will just get the other " evil " in!!

There are private sector jobs being created and/or propped up by corporate welfare grants and loans including tax breaks from the government. Public sector workers help support the local economy with purchases of goods and services from the private sector and a great portion of their wages are recycled back to the government in all the assorted taxes collected. The only sure thing about the PC promised income tax reduction is it will be be a reality for the 100000 individuals who Hudak dumps onto the unemployment rolls while waiting for the promised magic million new jobs to appear. For the rest of the taxpayers, don't expect to see anything other than increases as the government foolishly wastes millions on a daily basis.
