The Algoma U Classic Golf Tournament is one of Algoma University's premier fundraising events.

"The money raised helps support our students' success, and takes some of the burden off of the cost of tuition, living expenses, and books. The funds raised from the tournament each year provide Awards of Excellence to first year Algoma University students, attracting the best students to our university and our community."

Golfers will enjoy 18 holes of golf at Crimson Ridge Golf Course, a complimentary box lunch, use of a drive cart, on-course contests, a luxury sit-down dinner, prizes, and an awards presentation.

Tee-off time is 1 p.m. with a shotgun start.

The tournament is a four-person scramble format, with entries in the men's, women's, and mixed categories.

Single entries are also accepted and will be matched with other single entries to form a team.

How about golfing "fore" local elementary school children, too? Looking for a great gift for your golfer (or yourself)? Golf mini-peel cards are just $15, can save your golfer a LOT of money at various courses in the region and support children's activities in our local St. John Catholic School. Golf season has begun and with Father's Day coming up, this is a great time to pick up your cards. Buy your cards at St. John School - 100 Churchill Avenue (off of Peoples Rd. just north of Second Line).
