Mission Road closed due to washout

Mission Road closed - Washout

GOULAIS TOWNSHIP - Sault Ste. Marie Ontario Provincial Police advise the public that Mission Road in Goulais River is closed from fire number 289 eastward due to a washout.

A vehicle was damaged when the roadway collapsed, however there were no injuries to the driver.

There is no access to Highway 17 at this time for residents living beyond this area.

The Ministry of Transportation is on site and repairs are underway.

The O.P.P. will distribute details and updates of the road advisory as information becomes available.

Please do not call O.P.P. Provincial Communication Centres for road advisory updates or road condition information.
