Failure to launch (boats)

Monday, May 05, 2014   by: Staff

Effective May 5, 2014, the public boat launch at Bellevue Marina (lower Pine Street) will be temporarily closed for repairs.

The floating dock at the boat launch will be removed to enable the required repair work to be done.

Boaters are advised not to use the launch ramp when the dock is not in place.

The boat launch is expected to re-open Saturday, May 10.

Since there's still ice in the river, this probably won't be too much of an inconvenience.

With the ice in the upper river and on the lake when the locks are cycled there would be a fair amount of ice released. Add to that if any gates are open there may be a chance of more ice, no?
