YES! WOO! HOO! Bye bye Liberals! Don`t let the door hit you in the BUTT on the way out!!!!!!!!!!
Mr. Poster 5/2/2014 11:39:22 AM Report

Get ready to spend millions on an election that will see the Liberals win another minority government. Hudak is disliked...Horwath in not trusted.
learningaswego 5/2/2014 11:44:18 AM Report

That is exactly what the outcome will be - same bunch of tools! Same minority government.

But, the good news for fiscal conservatives is .....the Ontario PC's will then HAVE to find an electable leader, because Hudak isn't.
ranny 5/2/2014 11:54:28 AM Report

@Mr. Poster the cost of an election is cheaper than the amount of money the Liberal spent.
Mr. Poster 5/2/2014 11:56:43 AM Report

ranny..I agree with you. I just hope we can really get rid of the Liberals. If the Cons had a likeable leader they would be a shoein to win...not so sure about Hudak.
Gater 5/2/2014 12:02:04 PM Report

All polls indicate a minority gov is most likely.
I am afraid its gonna be 4 more years of a liberal minority Gov.

The conservatives don't have an electable leader.

And the NDP well that's enough said
Gurpy 5/2/2014 12:02:35 PM Report

There is no way the Liberals will win another election! Ontarians have learned their lesson and are reminded every month of the damage done when the PUC bill arrives! Anyone who votes Liberal needs help!
Dara 5/2/2014 12:04:14 PM Report

I wonder if the liberals will suck a wage out of us untill the budget is defeated or just man up and call one now.
ranny 5/2/2014 12:07:29 PM Report

@Mr. Poster I feel your pain. It's like drawing a name out of a hat for this election. All three not very appealing. The NDP should had stood their grounds long time ago against the Liberal. The CP has a horrible leader. Now I'm wishing for a 4 party system. ^^

@Gurpy we said that last election. Look who was back in power with a minority government, which i'm glad it was. Could you imagine what the Liberal would had done with a majority? No party should have that much power to put a province in debt.
m_grb 5/2/2014 12:19:52 PM Report

The only good news that will come of this is a new PC leader hopefully. Then a few years from now a new gov't. Sad to say but I think the Liberals are still the lesser of 3 evils.
eadiecougs 5/2/2014 12:22:06 PM Report

give the NDP a chance what can we lose.we lost enough with the libs
Gurpy 5/2/2014 12:25:41 PM Report

The Liberals have ruined this province! I am a new grandmother and I have every intention of fighting tooth and nail to secure some type of a stable future for my granddaughter! They turn my stomach! Shame on them!

Do really want a Hudak. His own party is questioning his ability to lead them.
Gurpy 5/2/2014 1:25:42 PM Report

Hudak will NOT get in! Ndp will be taking it this time!
eadiecougs 5/2/2014 1:35:34 PM Report

Horwath is such an idiot.

The PC will win the next election and will just take more from us working people and give back to their rich buddies
ti-guy 5/2/2014 2:28:24 PM Report

I agree totally with eadycougs.
OMGWTF 5/2/2014 2:31:30 PM Report

Who needs the Progressive Convicts. Hudak can't even give his druggie, woman hater friend Doobie Ford a kick in the butt for his latest rave. Shows you what he will do for a few votes. The NDP know they can't move up in the ranks and Hudak will strip everything down to the bone and do another Mike Harris - download everything onto the cities to make the Prov balance look good. Oh..some of you may have forgotten that and the increased municiaple taxes we got for it. Say goodbye to Northern development if the Cons get in
Right of Centre 5/2/2014 2:40:52 PM Report

Does anyone vote policy anymore?

I can understand if you don't currently trust a party. I get that. The Ontario Liberals are a fine example.

But the NDP? Come on. Voting in the NDP will quickly set us on the same track as the US...more voters with their hands out for entitlements than there are taxpayers with jobs. Were the NDP members for Green energy? Are they for MORE green energy? (Green energy means your green leaves to line many other pockets! It's not about the environment at all.)

How about voting for a party that doesn't spend more than it takes in, by stealing it's neighbour's Visa card.

Vote in Liberals or NDP, both "Charge It!" groups, and all those working taxpayers will jump ship for provinces with some common sense. It's already begun.
Right of Centre 5/2/2014 2:42:21 PM Report

OMGWTF, if you can't afford it, you shouldn't buy it.

are you the runt of the litter or just need to be educated. do you even vote,
ranny 5/2/2014 3:54:28 PM Report

@Gurpy I hear you. My long term investment isn't looking good with the Liberal. Been on a pay freeze for 3 years. What upset me, they were given a pay raise and more benefits. The nerve to tell us to cut back and they can't preach what they say.
guestwho 5/2/2014 5:54:32 PM Report

whoresworth ,whodat or winwin what`s the difference!! They`re all great leaders. It can only be good for Ont.to have any one of these fine folks
Gurpy 5/2/2014 6:52:33 PM Report

ranny
I have NEVER witnessed a party do as much damage as the Liberals and actually get away with it! They need to go! They should have been gone long before now! I saw Wynne on an election commercial earlier today. She claims one in eight people in Ontario were on Ontario Works and we cannot allow that to happen again. I`m confused! The budget yesterday included a noticeable increase for Ontario Works now, she`s playing the welfare card to get votes? Perhaps if there were actual jobs in this province people would not be forced to rely upon the government for assistance? The sooner the Liberals are gone, the better! Our great, great grandchildren will more than likely be paying for their incompetence!! Makes me sick!
eadiecougs 5/3/2014 12:02:11 AM Report

we need a working class party
MYPOINT 5/3/2014 8:13:54 AM Report

is as follows ...

Will any of my suggestions come to fruition prior to me turning 100 years old? I seriously doubt it.

SUGGESTIONS:

1) Politicians should only be allowed to run for a maximum of 2 terms so that they do not earn humungous pensions after only a few short years in government. This would also cut down on the way many of them think they are 'experts' simply because they fooled so many voters in order to get elected in the first place.

2) There should be a recall method put in place prior to any new elections ( it is obviously too late for this one ). This would give us ( the voters ) the right to recall any person who lies to us during election campaigns by making promises that they do not keep. This, of course, would require at least 51% of the local voters in order to get this person recalled. Wouldn't it be nice to actually be able to fire someone who has lost our trust?

3) All parties talk about jobs. Here is an idea ( it is just an idea ). Why not 4- lane the entire Trans-Canada from one end of this Province to the other ( in fact this might work for the FEDS also if they made it 4- lanes from coast to coast ). This would create millions of jobs and each of those jobs would be paying taxes and all of those same taxes would help out our economy. This would also help create many other jobs other than just construction jobs - which is a win-win for us all.

4) Let us the voters demand that the 'child-like' antics of government be stopped immediately. If these people are unable to act as adults , they should not be in politics in the first place. ( This is not a slight on kids because I have seen many kids who act more mature than some of the politicians I have seen over the years).

5) After the next government is elected, regardless of which party gets elected to govern, there should be a mandated law instituted which states that our Province ( and our country ) absolutely must balance the books every single year. This means that these people would have to manage the government the same way each of us has to manage our households each month. If we have to keep our expenses down in order to stay above water, why do we allow our government to spend, spend, spend , spend without putting limits on them?

As all of you can plainly see, these are just 'suggestions' because I do not claim to be any kind of expert. I have lived for over 60+ years and have seen such a disarray of politics over that time that I believe it truly is time for a complete overhaul of the way we are governed. Unless we start making these kinds of demands on our politicians, we shall continue to put our great-great grandchildren into more debt and nothing will change in this Country.

Of course, your views may differ :)

( I apologize for the length of this post ).
Alphie 5/3/2014 11:53:10 AM Report

I think I'll take my chances with any party other than the Liberals. They have done nothing but destroy this province with there wasted billions. They think the people of this province are nothing more a bottomless pit of money that can be taxed to death.
There answer to all the wasted billions is we're sorry. People want answers not I'm sorry. So goodbye and good riddance to the Liberals.
vlr 5/3/2014 10:39:59 PM Report

We can not take a chance with the PC party. Hudak will cause too much heart ache for too many people. I've had a wage freeze for 3 years but at least I have a job. Not sure that will be the case if the PC's get in.
ranny 5/5/2014 10:22:37 AM Report

@Gurpy that what they will do. Play on the Welfare card for the election. The NDP done it during Rae. People would rather be on assistance than work because the money was almost equal. If we force all politician to take a pay freeze, pay cut and etc. They would be in an uproar. Their pension plan is better than the average person who work for 20 years.
