U.S. Coast Guard is going to bust some more ice

SAULT STE. MARIE, MI – In accordance with 33 CFR 165.901, the Captain of the Port Sault Ste. Marie will open the waters between St. Ignace and Mackinac Island, effective 0800 EST on April 24, 2014.

The Coast Guard would like to remind all recreational ice users to plan their activities carefully, use caution on the ice, and stay away from shipping channels.
