engineguy... really? Is that necessary?

We know there are "career criminals." How will pointing this out help the situation? ...or are you one of the "lock them up and throw away the key" supporters?
bradwc2002 4/17/2014 9:30:30 AM Report

We need a 3 strike law lol

sam i am one of those lock them up and throw away the key people as well. How many strikes does someone get before they serve some real jail time. People who steal gum are not doing it out of hunger they are career criminals and have no regard for rules , laws , or other citizens. My vote if for hard labour for criminals and then the chance of reoffending will definitely reduce. Stick that in your left wing view.
roxxyroller 4/17/2014 10:00:51 AM Report

I dunno why in the hell these people think that they are going to get away with these crimes all of the time. The justice system here is a complete joke ... another slap on the hand and feel free to go and recommit. We as taxpayers are more then happy to pay your free rent and food while you sit in the can for a few short days, on us.
Shout out to all of the Sault Ste. Marie "lifer's".
KPNM 4/17/2014 10:08:44 AM Report

3 strike law like the states doesn't have to be the same crime committed, just three crimes. In some States your 2nd crime could be committed when your 20 and your third when your 60 and you would still go to jail. 3 strike law is good but has to be balanced!

Work camps would be a great idea as they would be almost self sufficient. *Less taxpayer funding!! treat it just like a farm, grow your veggies, and sell whatever extras they produce as hand-picked organic foods. make a fortune with all the free labor.
Pakadeva 4/17/2014 12:02:15 PM Report

Work camps appeal to me as well, then these bums learn how to work, thus, learning to maybe actually PAY for items they want/need, like the rest of us who work our butts off every day to feed these freakin bums!!!
