Headline says OPP says closed Soo to Wawa; responder says Batchewana to Wawa, and MTO Website says Sault Ste. Marie north limits to Montreal River Bridge, says "snow covered, wet sections, fair visibility". Take your pick......and just stay home.

soowat 4/4/2014 5:00:01 PM Report

Why would anyone want to leave Wawa?
j.r.98 4/4/2014 6:00:24 PM Report

OPP turned me back at the 1 lane bridge. Kaihla Rd. I only needed to get to the other side HWY 563 , just over the second bridge by Wild Rose RV Park. So much for going home.

Wonder if this new saga of the north route versus snow will affect property values in the coming future.
Would make one think twice when purchasing year round property and it's accessibility unfortunately.
That or a good heads up or mum for a seller.
Next winter will likely be back to normal anyhow, we've had our centennial snowfall so forget this season existed!
Zing 4/5/2014 9:54:55 AM Report

So you can't get to Wawa by car-car?
Wisenheimer 4/6/2014 9:39:45 AM Report

Just asking, but isn't it "Batchewana" ?
