Ricci and Francelina play Gusto's BBQ Grill Restaurant (Wellington Square Mall) from 5:30 to 9 p.m. with guests Choraline and Jessie.

Soo Greyhounds vs Erie at the Essar Centre. Game time is 7:07 p.m.

Join the open jam at the Moose Lodge, 543 Trunk Rd., from 8 p.m. until midnight. Open to the public. From beginners to advanced, all are welcome.

Jazz Friday at the Water Tower Pub, 360 Great Northern Rd., with Jeff and Judy starts at 8 p.m.

Crossroad performs at the New American Pub, 602 Bay Street. Music kicks off at 8 p.m.

Tym Morrison plays the Harp Pub and Grill, 701 Pine St., from 10 p.m. until close.

The Boothill Crooners play Rednecks Saloon, 304 Albert St. West (formerly the Nicolet Tavern), from 10 p.m. until 2 a.m.

The Rhythm Section plays Loplops, 651 Queen St. East. Show time is 10 p.m.

The Merves play the songs of The Ramones at the Rockstar Bar, 864 Queen St. East. Show time is 10:30 p.m.

Saturday Art Making: Learn art techniques in drawing, painting, sculpture and mixed media taught by local artists and art educators. Hosted at the Art Gallery of Algoma, 50 East Street, from 10 a.m. to noon for ages 6 to 12 years. Session runs from March 22 to May 3. Call 705-949-0967 for details.

Saturday Art Club: Parents and children will work together to discover art in the studio and in the exhibition galleries. While exploring lots of art mediums, this class will provide opportunities for creative play and fun learning. Dorian Grey plays the New American Pub, 602 Bay Street, starting at 6 p.m.

Classical and Not So Classical music concert at Willowgrove United Church (55 Tilley Rd.) features Michael Connell on the Piano and pipe organ, with special guests Doug McChesney (soloist) and Stephen Mallinger (piano). Refreshments will follow. Tickets are $15 and are available at the door or in advance at Willowgrove United Church during business hours (9am-12 noon and 1-4pm daily)

The Northland Chorus presents its 50th Annual Show, North to Alaska, at the Kiwanis Community Theatre Centre at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $25 each and may be purchased at Hess Jewellers or the Community Box Office in the Station Mall.

Techniques for Teens at the Art Gallery of Algoma: Learn art techniques in drawing, painting, sculpture and mixed media taught by local artists and art educators who bring their talent and experience to each class. Class runs from 1 to 3 p.m. and is for ages 12 and older. This session runs from March 23 to May 4. Cost: $70 AGA Family Members, $80 Non-members. Please call 705-949-9067 for more information.
