Firefighter injured in west end fire (5 photos)

FIRE SERVICES

In the early morning hours of April 1, 2014, Sault Ste. Marie Fire Services responded to a 911 call in the 400 block of Doncaster Avenue. 

Upon arrival, crews found flames and smoke emitting from the structure.  

Suppression crews brought the fire under control in approximately one hour.  

The fire caused extensive damage to the home.

One firefighter sustained minor injuries.

This fire is currently under investigation by Sault Ste. Marie Fire Services.

That looks so bad, couldn't imagine dealing with the loss of your home and perhaps lives if that also happens at this time.
Thanks to the firefighters out there for your service!
Again after looking at these pictures and me doing some minor electrical updates in my home I'm going to check 100 times each connection today when I proceed!

I would like to congratulate the firefighters on an ultimate level of bad-arse-ery (if you knwo what I'm saying)

and to the one who was injured, keep on being awesome. Good luck on a speedy recovery, and tell the story about how much butt you kick.
