As to the assault on people's road, my parents drove by while it was in progress. They were fighting in the middle of the street! Unbelievable, good way to get hit by a car!

THERA..Not a good entry. What if the guy was robbing the person should he have dragged him to the ditch....WOW. I sure hope they stopped and offered help.

Would you stop and offer help to a person being pounded by a couple of punks? I would if my baseball bat was in my hand. He/she said their parents drove by. They could be 80 yrs old.

While I can understand someone hesitating to get involved I would hope they would make a call?

Blare their horn?

I don't think there is such a thing as a designated fight area on any street ,so that was an odd statement.

Sad thing is was probably others who saw what was going on and didn't want to "Get involved" either .

thera 3/29/2014 8:28:19 PM Report

My parents are "getting on" in age and yes, everyone else was driving by. No, my parents don't carry around a cell phone or baseball bat.
My dad said he first saw that everyone ahead of him was steering around something. He didn't even know what it was until he came upon the scene. The only reason why I mentioned about fighting in the street was because People's road is a very busy.

Oh, and I can thank everyone for not judging (lest ye be judged, btw) that seniors would not get involved in a fight between 30-something year olds. If they want to fight in the middle of the street, who am I to judge? If I had to guess (with the kind of drivers in this city), probably road rage gone crazy.

Sorry Boomer two guys fighting stop and help could end up being a fatal mistake. Sorry to risk your life for guys fighting is just foolish. Definitely call the boys who get paid to look after these issues. If it was someone I knew or a guy beating on a girl or a child I would be there but 2 guys no chance.
mister p 3/30/2014 9:51:26 AM Report

a friend of mine tried to stop a fight a few years back and was stabbed and now he is dead. whoever thinks getting involved in a fight between two people or three people is stupid and dumb. I would run into a burning building for my kids, they are my life, therefor, they are the only people in this world worth risking my life for, anyone else, sorry for your luck. boomer, put on your batman suit and go save the world, its obvious your parents didn't show you enough love when you were a child to have such a negative attitude towards people you don't even know.
