The Sault Ste. Marie Chamber of Commerce presents Spring Expo 2014 at the John Rhodes Community Centre from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Saturday Art Making: Learn art techniques in drawing, painting, sculpture and mixed media taught by local artists and art educators. Hosted at the Art Gallery of Algoma, 50 East Street, from 10 a.m. to noon for ages 6 to 12 years. Session runs from March 22 to May 3. Call 705-949-0967 for details.
Saturday Art Club: Parents and children will work together to discover art in the studio and in the exhibition galleries. While exploring lots of art mediums, this class will provide opportunities for creative play and fun learning. Medi-Fest 2014 happens at the Grand Theatre, 641 Queen St. East, and includes performances from The Elements, Redundant, Project 421, Obviously D'uh, Cory Murchison, and the Craig West Band. Doors open at 8 p.m. This is an all-ages event. Admission is $10. Proceeds go to support the fight against the repeal of medical marijuana personal production laws.

The Spinney Brothers from Nova Scotia bring bluegrass tradition to the Croatian Hall, 446 Second Line East. Open jam session begins at 3 p.m. Dinner served between 4 and 6 p.m. ($12/person).
