Why is the season not open for non residents? The outfitters and the Northern Ontario economy could use the business to make up for their losses during to the cancellation and actually reduce the population.

Montec.

that would actually make sense if they let non citizens come and spend money in Ontario at Outfitter in northern Ontario. We would rather pay 20 million in nuisance bear support and achieve nothing(btw paid for by tax payers) then let another group spend 40 million to do it for us...

in politic to get reelected you have to keep everyone sort of happy while achieving not much. Our government is great.

Why waste money on a pilot project.

The hunt was cancelled for political gain, not science.

Just open it again and be done with it.

David should tell us all about the number of Ministry employees who have run black bear hunts in the past.

Go through the files from the last 35 years in SSM, Wawa and Thunder Bay MNR Offices and you will find a number of government employees who have made significant money off of the provinces resources.

Crooks.
