ashalton 3/18/2014 3:02:18 PM Report

Ted did not represent Canada, but he is Canadian and Latvia did a much better job with him then they would of with out him!
GotRotties 3/18/2014 3:07:48 PM Report

If you say so, I am reserving my adoration for those that earned it for Canada
Norm 3/18/2014 3:10:38 PM Report

Anyone from the Soo involved in the Olympics should and will be honoured, Ted Nolan is one of them, yes.
redford 3/18/2014 3:17:19 PM Report

Ted Nolan accomplishments are also worthy of recognition along with the entire Jacobs team and Mac Marcoux...
Well done, all.
unfaithful 3/18/2014 8:29:39 PM Report

Nolan is not a resident of the Sault, nor did he "qualify" to represent his country.
jonesur 3/18/2014 8:56:24 PM Report

OK. Let's everyone just take a deep breath for a moment and jump off the bandwagon,(whichever one you happen to be on). No, Ted did not represent Canada, and he is not officially from Sault Ste. Marie. He did however, manage to coach a team of overachievers to a near excruciating upset of our eventual Gold Medal winning team.
To not commemorate him would surely cause a firestorm in this city, just as doing so has rankled the feathers of some dimwitted responders to this story.
jonesur 3/18/2014 9:25:02 PM Report

And let's not forget to celebrate Team Marcoux and Team Jacobs.

Who is this "Gotrotties" anyway? and maybe the person should come to the event and stand up in front of everyone and say that to all of Sault Ste. Marie's wonderful people. And just maybe get that person to change the name to
"GotRotten" becausethat person is very poor in spirit. I have to take pity on a person like that.Very poor and out of, so sad. I wonder what happened to that person when they were a young child???? I wonder who and or what went wrong with that poor poor soul, I know that an individual is not born that way something happened to make them so poor of the mind???? Blessings to that person who spills out negative words towards fellow humans especially those who have done great things for all of humanity!
I pray to restore that "gotroddies" person's out of balanced heart/mind Creator himself will visit with them tonight while they sleep and I ask that the heart is re-balanced again for all of humanity's sake.

Great Job to all of the Citizens of this now Mediocre Country thanks to current government, but that’s another story. No too many cities can claim what we have here. A northern Ontario city with less than 80,000 people had 9 people go to the Olympics that’s awesome in my book. Ted congratulations for achieving what you have, I know it hasn’t been easy but you have proved over and over you are the man for the job. Team Jacobs you mean guy for intimidating other teams with your Buff! Lol that was the funniest thing I ever heard from the Olympics. Great job on the gold!!! And Mac what can I say two bronze and a gold? I could imagine wining the bronze how happy you where then a second I must have been a great feeling then to top it with a gold. All the above mentioned did a great job in all events.
And as For GotRotties congratulations to you as well, not many people know this but GotRotties was a really nice guy before he lost 90% of his brain due to a unfortunate accident. But after a couple operations they were able to repair some of it. But all he has been left is a empty shell and a lot of negativity and he cannot help this, that is all there is left of his brain. So all the sarcasm your see is meant to be nothing but love and admiration for everyone. Don’t worry about replying to anything RotGotties you have a big day ahead putting on your shoes all by yourself look at you go!!

I am sorry I didn't know that in order to be accepted as a poster on here that I MUST have the same opinion as the rest of you. I neither said anything derogatory nor rude, sadly the rest of you cannot say the same thing. If you don't like my comment that's fine, go ahead and post whatever you think is a great response, but trying to belittle me, insinuate things about me, or downright lie in order to make your stance in the matter seem like the right one isn't really the way a person of intellect would act. One thing I do notice about the lot of you is that you love to attack the other posters, and for that I pity you because you seem to be missing some meaning in your lives. That being said, may all of you have a great day!

Apology accepted. Thank you
