See some All-Stars play tonight at Essar

The Sault Ste. Marie Police All-Stars are hosting the NHL Alumni in a fundraising hockey game for the Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics. 

The event takes place tonight, Thursday March 6, 2014 at the Essar Centre. 

Doors open at 6 p.m., tickets will be available at the door, and the puck drops at 7 p.m.

There will be skills competitions in between periods. 

A post game meet and greet will be held at Centre Ice Grill on Northern Avenue. 

This year’s game will feature the following NHL Alumni:

  • Walter Gretzky - Guest Coach & Ambassador Of The NHL Alumni Team
  • Dave Hutchison – Guest Referee
  • Mark Laforest – Goalie
  • Bill Derlago
  • Brent Gretzky
  • Dan Daoust
  • Marty McSorley
  • Matthew Barnaby
  • Mike Pelyk
  • Rick Vaive
  • Ken Belanger
  • Craig Coxe
  • Jeremy Stevenson

It’s a great opportunity to see some of the greats play while supporting the Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics.

Itis so nice to see Ken Belanger on the list, he was an awesome player. Too bad you couldn't get Chris Simon, or Denny Lambert.

i thought brent's career in the NHL never started? I thought he was forced to retire before he made the NHL.
