More b.s. --best actor should of been Dicaprio(was best acting I've seen)
Also best movie---should NOT have been 12 yrs a slave!
Nebraska was a great movie and the leads were great too!

Number One Son 3/3/2014 12:10:18 AM Report

Gravity was the crappiest movie I have seen in some time. Two awards for sound editing, ... there is no sound in space, .... give me a break!

Move to Chapleau or Hornepaynr all of you. Then you can rejoice in the solitude of having nothing to do on any nights and you'll be finally happy to know that no one is doing anything!

@Tagg did you watch 12 years or any of the other performances/movies?

And personally I think Leo is one of the worst actors ever so...

bounder 3/3/2014 8:20:21 AM Report

Rob Ford not invited to attend the Oscars, self admitted crack smokers not invited to this group of drug fueled culture. The shame.
Dead End Kid 3/3/2014 8:20:42 AM Report

Yeah I agree. I never believed Dicaprio when he played in roles such as J Edgar Hoover and Howard Hughes.
I sense an immaturity coming through when he takes on masculine roles. He is a good actor and he shines more in age appropriate roles.

Gravity was one of the worst movies I have ever seen. It has a poor script and lacks in character development. It is another example of how CGI effects are rendered useless without out a story line that is believable.

"There is no sound in space"

Yes there is, lots of it.

The Oscars were B-O-R-I-N-G.....

Ellen handing out pizza....
Billy Crystal was the best!
Number One Son 3/3/2014 9:38:38 AM Report

Right Wing, .... have you moved into grade two yet? There is no sound in space. Sound is a pressure wave that is created when molecules bump into each other. There is approximately one atom for ever square meter of space,... not nearly enough to create sound.

Number one son you must have went to the same university as the professor from Gilligan's Island.

I was judging Leo's overall performance,
Verbals and Non-Verbals----was the best acting I have seen in years!
I'm not judging on anything but that.
The Non-Verbals being his facial expression and body gestures. He was great!
GuitarHero99 3/3/2014 3:30:35 PM Report

gravity was CRAP

A little trivia...The producer of 'Her', who hugged Spike Jonze as he was announced as winner of best original screenplay, was born in Sault Ste. Marie. Although he was raised in California, his mother was both born and raised right here in our city. I'm so proud of Vincent Landay. I believe he got more screen time at the OSCARS than Brad Pitt. :)
